Little Bitty Pretty One

I somehow seemed to have neglected one the happiest events this year: ANOTHER BIRTH!

Whitney Addison Wride was born February 22, 2013 at a whopping 6lbs 9oz (That could be incorrect. Something like that?). The smallest baby in our family, probs. She's the most beautiful little newborn and I love her to pieces.

Bridget and Whit. The cutest sisters.
This Wride family sure knows how to make 'em.

For those of you counting, Whitney is Wride grandbaby #11. Just like heaven. Also, being the broken record that I am, I love being a aunt. A whole lot.

It may not be over mountaintop, or over the stormy sea;
It may not be at the battle's front, My Lord will have need of me.
But if by a still small voice He calls,
to paths I do not know,
I'll answer, dear Lord, with my hand in thine
I'll go where you want me to go.

Sometimes

Sometimes the Lord gives us exactly what we ask for.

Like that one time I was all, "Help me to have more patience."

...

and then He gave me experiences where I have to be patient.

Wait a Minute Sister

Erm. Hey. Happy February! One less month of winter ahead! Huzzah! While I'm all for snow when it gets me snow days to play and sled and whatnot, this walking in the fluffy/slushy/frozen/slippery stuff isn't quite what floats my boat. But, perspective. This past week has been above 20 degrees! BALMY! Beach weather practically.

Alright, anywho. I don't really have a specific reason to be writing, but I feel as though dear little bloggy has been neglected.

School is going well, I like my classes a lot, and most all of my teachers. Some are snoozers, but thank goodness for friends that keep me awake during those classes. But for the majority, they are quality.

Family is growing splendidly! Welcome BRETT CUMMINGS WRIDE! Sweetest little angelic kiddo. I can't wait to meet him in person! Also in January, my parents freaking ran a 1/2 marathon. Way to go, Idaho! Superstars, they are.

Friends are awesome. Keeping me inspired and on my toes. I love them all dearly. I've been extraordinarily blessed with THE best roommates and friends ever.

I have a dear friend leaving for the MTC this coming week, some out of the MTC in the field, some that have been out for months now, and dear sweet lil Kasee got her call to serve this week! It's amazing and awesome to see the response President Monson's announcement received. My mission prep teacher told us that upon the time of the announcement, no one but the Prophet knew he was going to make that announcement. The First Presidency had been discussing it, but they hadn't talked about making that announcement, so it was a surprise to them as well! That only furthered my testimony that President Monson is a man of God, called by Him to teach and direct His children. So cool. And now thousands of missionaries are leaving and preparing and teaching and MTC's are popping up like daisies trying to accommodate everyone! Neat-o speed-o.

Speaking of mission, (I'm only divulging this info since basically the only people who read this blog are family and friends) I am still planning on serving a mission. But I'm kind of on pause right now...

because...

I am again trying out for the Music Therapy program at Utah State. Uhhh, yikes. So that audition is Feb. 9. As in like 7 days. Yeah. Majorly freaking out these days. So if you wonder why I've been looking like a total hobo (seriously) the past week, that's because I only decided this, oh, about a week and a half ago. Jan 23. I decided to go for it. I was on my knees praying, and then before I knew it, I had submitted my USU application and had begun looking for audition pieces. (Btdubs, the program application was due the 30th. Whew. Close call.)

I have no clue what will come of this, nor do I really expect much to come of it, but faith is an action, is it not? So act I shall.

I got to see White Christmas performed at the Kennedy Center.

So. Good.
